Do you proivide a written contract?
Yes. A written contract is always required to book services.
Are you insured and can you provide proof of liability?
Yes. Most venues require party vendors to carry liability insurance today, so it is definitely in everyone's best interest. Proof will be happily provided upon request.
Will we get to meet and interview our DJ?
Yes. Your DJ will be me, Scott Brandon, and while in some cases circumstances don't allow for it, interviewing with all clients before signing any papers is preferred, as it ensures a positive working relationship.
Do you require a deposit to secure the date?
Yes. Your deposit via personal / company check, money order or cash is required no later than two weeks after confirmation, to lock in services for your date. If your booking is confirmed on September 10th, you deposit would be due on September 24th.
When is the balance due?
Your balance via personal / company check, money order or cash is due no later than the day of your event, before the scheduled start time.
Can we book your services online?
You'll be able to book online very soon.
Will you purchase specific music for our event if necessary?
Yes. This is one way DJs add to their libraries, and real professional DJs will have a budget for buying any necessary music without charging you extra.
Will you play special music provided by the client and/or guests?
Yes. This is your party, and it should go exactly the way you want! For this reason, you, the client, must provide me with any and all such music personally. If not, you will be consulted regarding music your guests have provided before it gets played. This ensures that the music provided meets with your preferences.
Can we request certain songs not be played?
Yes. Again, this is your event, and your preferences will be honored. Should you change your mind during your event and allow music to be played that you had previously restricted, please tell me in person. Such instructions from anyone else will not be adhered to. You signed the contract and the check! Also, should a guest request music that you've restricted, said guest will never be told that you restricted their song. That would only result in them hounding you to allow their request, instead of letting you enjoy your celebration peacefully.
Do you use professional equipment?
Yes. This helps to score your event with top-quality sound.
Do you have a replacement DJ standing by in case of emergencies?
Yes. Your event is guaranteed to have DJ entertainment once you sign the contract, or you will receive a complete refund!
Have you ever cancelled or missed a show?
No. Clients have all been very impressed by the fact that none of my finalized scheduled performances have ever been missed, and replacement DJs never had to be called. But a few are on stand-by just in case.
