Do you proivide a written contract?

Yes! A written contract is always required to book our services.

Will we get to meet and interview our DJ?

Yes! Your DJ will be Scott Brandon, and interviewing with all clients before signing any papers is something he insists upon, as it ensures a positive working relationship.

Will our DJ wear a tuxedo or business suit for weddings and formal events?

Yes! And for more casual occasions, we always wear either a collared polo or button-down shirt with slacks, unless you specify otherwise.

Are you insured and can you provide proof of liability?

Yes! Most venues require party vendors to carry liability insurance today, so it is definitely in everyone's best interest. Proof will be happily provided upon request.

Should you not have particular songs that we want, will you buy them?

Yes!  This is one way DJs add to their libraries, and real professional DJs will have a budget for buying any necessary music without charging you extra.

Can we request certain songs not be played?

Yes! This is your event, and your DJ will honor your preferences.  Should you change your mind during your event and allow music to be played that you had previously restricted, please tell the DJ in person.  Your DJ will not adhere to such instructions from anyone else. You signed the contract and the check!

Will you play special music provided by the client and/or guests?

Yes! Again, this is your party, and it should go exactly the way you want!  For this reason, you, the client, must provide your DJ with any and all such music personally.  This assures your DJ that the music provided meets with your preferences.

Do you require a deposit to secure the date?

Yes! A deposit is required to hire Positively Energized on a first-received, first-booked basis.

Do you use professional equipment?

Yes! This helps us to score your event with broadcast-quality sound.

Do you have a replacement DJ standing by in case of emergencies?

Yes! Your event is guaranteed to have DJ entertainment once you sign with us, or you will receive a complete refund!

Have you ever cancelled or missed a show?

No! Clients have all been very impressed by this fact.  Scott has never missed a scheduled performance in all his years as a DJ, and has never had to call upon a replacement DJ.  But we do have a few on stand-by just in case.

What payments do you accept and can we book your services online?

Your personal/company check, money order and/or cash, along with your completed written contract, will be happily accepted after your in-person interview with us assures you that we are the right DJs for your event.

Can we attend one of your performances to see you in action?

Since most of our performances are for private parties to celebrate very personal occasions such as weddings, birthdays, etc, and we are merely hired help for that event, we do not have the authority to invite people to these functions. Nor would we want to, as we feel that would be overstepping our bounds, and severely intruding upon our clients' privacy.  For these reasons, you will be much better served by meeting with us in person to discuss your event.  Your second best reference source will be our clients whose contact info we are permitted to furnish you with.

Is this your full-time, or part-time business?

This depends upon your definition of full-time vs. part-time.  Performance-wise, this is a part-time job, since the priavte parties, club engagements and radio shifts we spin for are typically held on weeknights and/or weekends, with each event lasting only a few hours.  However, if you include networking & generating leads, shopping for equipment & music, bookkeeping, updating the paperwork, all the traveling involved, etc, then this is definitely a full-time business.

Out of all the types of events you perform, what's your favorite?

While performing in clubs and on radio is something that we still very much enjoy, we prefer the private parties, as they are the most personally satisfying.  Seeing the expressions on everyone's faces as we enhance their reason to celebrate gives us the greatest joy!
